This one is fairly obsucre and I spent an unnecessary amount of time on it, but meh here it is. Is hould also say, do watch Wall-E, it's brilliant.

Now, for today's question. After yesterday's 'highly' contested science one I thought I'd do another:
Who invented the name for quarks?

onto wikipedia: james joyce?

also, its either waldo or wallE

James Joyce is correct for 10 points!
He made up a word that no-one really knew what it meant. Then people discovered quarks and didn't know what they really were, so... ta-da!

Nope, its not Waldo, Waldo is the American name, the original British name for the series was 'Where's Wally?'. It was changed to 'Where's Waldo?' in the american version which became more well known.
