Featuring three of the old 'favourites'! This is a throwback to an old 'series' of comics I did.

For today's question we move on to chemistry, and how can I have a chemistry question without mentioning titrations?

If a 3 molar acid is titrated with 25cm3 of a base of unknown concentration and the measurements taken are:
Rough = 21cm
Accurate = 19.9, 20.02, 19.9

Calculate the concentration in moles per cubic decimetre of base.

The equation for the reaction is:
2Acid + Base -> H2O + Salt

With some help, I managaed to get this :

concentration=moles/volume

3/21= 7 moles/dm squared.

No Blaze, that's not the answer I'm looking for, it's a specific titration equation that's required.

That's... nothing like it either. It's not a whole number and it will be only a few off of the 3 molar figure you already know.

So you have like 19.9 cm3 of the acid, as you would probably discount the 20.02, I guess.
There's 1000 cm3 in a dm3
So....that's something like 0.019 dm3 in 3 moles.

That as some help I had. Not sure if it's right though.

Mmm... it's a very specific equation that you need to work this out and I get the feeling no-one has actually done this equation, maybe I should have these more specific questions as bonuses...
